Summary/Abstract: The prayer-book Rosarium et officium B. Mariae Virginis... was composed by Aleksandras Hilarijus Palubinskis, a marshal of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, and issued by Vilnius Academy printing-house at the end of the 17th century. It contains a mixture of various prayers. Its most remarkable parts are Mary's rosary and Mary's hours. The book is composed according to the principle of short liturgical hours. Nevertheless, it has many peculiarities, which reflect the personal orientation of its compiler. The book is illustrated according to Western traditions. The engravings are closely related to its text. It is found that the majority of these engravings are copies from the prayer-book "Officium B. Mariae Virginis", issued in Venice in 1644. The engravings of the calendar cycle and the majority of Mary's hour's engravings, as well as the engravings of the hagiographic cycle by A. S. Radvila, are not original pieces but more or less exact copies.
