Summary/Abstract: Vushtrri and its vicinity as well as the whole Kosovo territorial space during the period 1912-1941 underwent huge administrative and territorial changes. These frequent changes from official Serbian and later Yugoslav bodies’ were in the service of great Serbian polity in order to subjugate Kosovo and to extinguish resistance movement. During these divisions, either of districts or communal circumstances it was being aimed to crash compactness of the Albanian element. Along with these divisions district of Vushtrri continuously belonged to Zveqan range with Mitrovica as a centre. District mainly had 9 Capitals of the municipalities were in the villages inhabited with dominating Slavic element. Heads of the municipalities and districts (except for Shala) were people from in power of Serbian origin. Serbian administrative bodies through colonization in different municipalities intended to break compactness of Albanian element and settlement of colonies in the best lands, near the roads and strategic positions, from where could observe Albanians and to make pressure upon them. With regard to population during this period great changes could be noticed to the prejudice of Albanian population. In this period there is a large decrease of Albanian population till 1921. Later we have a stagnation or maybe symbolic increase of it. In another side we have an increase of Slav element of approximately 50% only during one decade from 1921-1931. Here could be noticed the effect of violence and consequences of Albanian displacement in Turkey and Albania. Contrary to all these changes Albanian population is not falling under 70% of total population of district inhabitants.
