From one war to another, two historical illustrations of nexus

Summary/Abstract: The term nexus was suggested by Rouquette (1988, 1994) to designate a pre-logical affective core shared by a large number of individuals in a given society. This article defines and offers two illustrations of nexus revealed during the history of France. In both cases, war is the social and historical context in which the nexus mobilizes collective representations.
