Summary/Abstract: Gender aspects of formation and development of Russian online space are investigated, social networks and blogs are allocated as actors of public gender policy. The author shows how online sphere continues to remain reproducing gender stereotypes and fixing patriarchal mechanisms existing offline. The author allocates the gender differences of online users and asks the question how much gender differences are socially designed
