The article makes reference to a whole series of synonyms and phrases belonging to the same semantic area, using excerpts from well-known literary texts. The comparative dimension of the research is used to indicate the importance of regionalisms and the necessiy of neologisms in order for a fluid and utterly flexible linguistic expression to be achieved by the literate user/speaker.
