Summary/Abstract: Taxes play a pivotal role in the country’s economic policy, as well as constitute the major source of the government budget revenues. These revenues are influenced by numerous factors, related both to macroeconomics and the system. This dissertation presents the analysis of the structure and changes in the government budget revenues. The research encompasses the period between 2000 and 2012, as several systemic changes, including reorganization of the social insurance system, health care and the Administrative Reform had been introduced shortly before 2000. Since the most recent available data in the field date back to 2012, it is the last year included in the research. The data analyzed are: GDP (at current prices) and the rate of the government budget revenues execution. The main resources used in the analysis were the reports of the government budget execution for 2000-2012 published on a Ministry of Finance webpage www.mf.gov.pl and the publication of the Central Statistical Office and Supreme Audit Office www.nik.gov.pl.
