Summary/Abstract: The New Art Reviview titled “Survival” took place in the remote region of Wroclaw, in the old, partly devastated building of Browar Mieszczañski (the Old City Brewery). “Survival”, a child of the Virtual Sputnik Gallery was established in somehow extremal conditions of the post – brewery building, on “the margin” of institutional art, and one of the important reasons may be showing off the freedom and young art criticism im relation to privilegedinstitutions. It included performances, installations and life-actions. Ewa Ciszewska showed a performance in a white enclosure. Piotr Asfeld and Pawel Stefanti presented a set of inhabited interiors, while the environment installation by Ola Stawik attracted spectators with its detailed illusion of a flat, made from cloth and gesso. There were also: the basin installation by Micha³ Bieniek, the cave installation by Justyna Adamczyk, Dagmara Hoduñ’s water project and the dynamic, drum action, called “J P II Generation” by Anna Cygañczyk.
