Electronic Corpora and Bulgarian New-Word Lexicography

Summary/Abstract: The article substantiates the need to apply a corpus-based approach when describing neological lexis in a lexicographic way. It introduces the specialized lexicographic electronic corpus, used as an empirical basis for the compilation of the latest academic Bulgarian dictionary of new words. The procedure for semi-automatic extraction of neologisms from an electronic corpus applied in compiling the lexical frame of this dictionary is described in the article.
