Summary/Abstract: Şeriyye registers (archives) are considered as the most important resources of Ottoman History. Şeriyye register include not only information abou tletters written among state institutions, public demands, announcements, papers, and war rants but also agricultur alproducts grown in theregion, estimated populations of the towns, diseases, and family life. Due to this importance of the Şeriyye registers, the current study was set out to explore administrational, social, cultural and economics ituation of the Amasya bymeans of Şeriyye register dated of H-1131-1132/1718-1720 belonging to 29 numbered microfilm at the national library presidency in Ankara, Turkey.
