Summary/Abstract: Post – Soviet states, who are in transition process after the collapse of USSR, have economical, political and security challenges in this process. Bilateral and regional cooperation are still in the top of the agenda to solve this problem. With respect to that, many regional economic integration attempts are witnessed. This paper will examine the reasons for cooperation, complications to activate the potentials as well as approaches and responses. In this context, having focused on the economic situation of the countries of today’s and early independent era, necessity of economic integration will be examined in the first part. In the second part integration strategies in Central Asia and Caucasia and around the world will be researched. By doing this, region centric and non-region centric distinction will be made which is followed by restriction of integration and finally predictions will takes please in terms of economic integration. This study comprehends Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan.
