Summary/Abstract: Nowadays, to form political and military alliances or coalitions among states has become absolutely necessary, that being requested by the reality of the present times when security is no longer seen as a national task and is sustained through common measures for peoples’ protection or through preventing actions against all instability sources, at both regional and international level. Therewith, the necessity to create alliances has evolved together with the increase in globalization, whose effects over the current international security environment require global thoughtfulness and global actions in order to protect and promote national interests.
