Summary/Abstract: If, throughout history, no individual had coveted the property of another and no tribe had threatened the other, early military power would not have been born and would not have developed the stunning capabilities of today. Military power, apparently the more understandable form of power, refers to the fighting capacity of a subject to impose objectives through violence, on the one hand, and to provide security guarantees, in exchange for benefits, to those who have no military power and feel threatened, one way or another, by the potential violence of other subjects.
