LOGISTIC SUPPORT IN MILITARY OPERATIONS. ELEMENTS ASSOCIATED TO THE KINETIC OPERATIONS

Summary/Abstract: The response to the challenges posed by the new and continuously changing strategic environment requires that all armed forces of NATO - and UE-member states develop credible capabilities in achieving domination over the spectrum of military operations. To this end, designing and building a force that is efficient on short and medium term necessitates intellectual, operational, organizational, doctrinal and technical integration. The logistic support provided to the fighting forces requires swift adaptation, at least insofar as the command and control system is concerned, and identification of innovative methods and procedures of ensuring a minimal logistic footprint whilst not affecting efficiency or prolonging the waiting time.
