Summary/Abstract: This study is a methodology about transcription and editing texts and also about organization the data base. The author took into consideration every steps in organising an oral archive and also its use. Yet, different methods of organising an oral archive and constitution the data base are matters of debate. The author considered that an interview should be complete transcribed because of the perisability of the audio cassettes; it is also mentioned that this work should be done by specialists in linguistic. Another problem is how the interview should be used by researchers: transcribed or recorded, taking into consideration the authenticity of the interview; the work of transcription is rather a matter of interpreting done by the one who do it. On the other hand working with an recorded is an expensive work for most of the historians; only researchers in sociology, ethnology and music ask for recorded interview not transcribed. The study launched the idea of responsability in interviewing and transcription. This presumed a correct attitude to the interviewée and also the interview itself (what kind of question we ask, how we put them and so on). These steps are to be taken into consideration in an Oral History project, for the efficient usage of the documents depends on how we have them.
