Summary/Abstract: The paper analyses specific development of personal movement and speaking skills while working with pre-school children with speaking and communication problems. The following hypothesis was raised: children movement and language skills are being developed and the process is faster with those who are slower in development if team work is well planned and properly focussed on individualisation. Pre-school children with speaking and communication problems from Kuršėnai kindergarten “Eglutė” took part in the research. The research project was carried out on the basis of testing and activity research methods. Two researches were done (primary and secondary) to assess children’s skills with the help of DISC methodology. A team from the institution staff took part in the research. A secondary test was done after a period of hard work. Comparative analysis of the results of the two researches stated that constant and directed work with children with special needs give really positive results. The above hypothesis was proved: a well planned and properly focussed individualised work with children with speech development and communication problems develops their skills and makes the process faster for those who are slower in development.
