Summary/Abstract: Reflection as a mean of analysis and evaluation of personal activities is urgent and significant in professional activities of a social educator and worker. Social educators and workers value and understand the need for and benefit of reflection while fulfilling set tasks; they face in their professional activities. A strive for perfection and giving meaning to a professional activity stimulates reflection of personal activities. It also enables to analyse the situation from different perspectives choosing the most optimal option to solve problems. It has been identified in the research that social educators and workers who participated in the survey value the benefits of reflection, understand its meaning and try to reflect their own activities and learn from the gained experience. Research results revealed that social educators and workers reflect their own professional activities and learn from personal experience: they link theoretical knowledge with practice, think over the methods in use and possible alternative options to solve problems, are interested in getting feedback, consult and cooperate with the colleagues to discuss issues.
