Summary/Abstract: Prevention in social work is defined as an action, means and ways aimed to reduce a criminal behaviour risk, block the road for duress of social birth, development and risk factors (Socialinės apsaugos terminų žodynas, 1999). Preventive laws and the experience of preventive actions in foreign countries are analysed in this article. While analysing research data it was looked for differences in living places of the analysed groups and sex progress results. Preventive activities are beneficial for pupils, however, it was identified that there is not enough information about preventive activities, a big part of pupils know nothing about preventive activities and assistance. The hypothesis was corroborated only partially: pupils positively assess preventive activities but one cannot unambiguously say that active participation in arranging preventive events prevails.
