Summary/Abstract: The Problem of Psychological Dimension of the representation of Phantasia by Franz Brentano. The paper approaches the psychological aspects of the concept of phantasia in Franz Brentano’s lecture Ausgewählte Fragen aus Psychologie und Ästhetik, taught in 1885/86. Our study establishes that, in spite of the title, Brentato’s analysis of phantasia does not merely concearn the aesthetic meaning of this representation, but it is instead a preliminary approach for the aesthetic disccusion.
