Documents of the Archive of Vojvodina on atrocities in Vojvodina 1944/45

Summary/Abstract: Archive of Vojvodina hosts holdings of the State commission for establishing the crimes of occupiers and their local helpers, insofar as created by the Commission which operated in Vojvodina. As the task of the commission was to collect statements and evidence, as well as to pronounce the names of war criminals and enemies of the people, it kept files on victims, as well as perpetrators. From the point of view of researching atrocities committed by the end of the war, of special importance are lists of executed people without court decision. These lists could help determine the scope of the partisan repression in Vojvodina.
