Summary/Abstract: Since the integration of our country in the European Union, as a result of widening the scope of smuggling incrimination, the law courts have confronted increasingly with the cumulation problem, in the criminal trials, of the safety measures of confiscating the goods and product subjected to smuggling with ordering the sentenced defendents to pay the customs duty.
