Summary/Abstract: The study analyzes the relations between Romania and the Entente in the period before Romania’s entrance in the Second Balkan War, in the context of Great Powers politics in South-Eastern Europe. After a critical examination of the relevant historical sources, the author emphasizes the role of the Entente in influencing Romania’s decision to begin the mobilization against Bulgaria, while considering that this decision of the Romanian government does not also signify a change of its foreign policy, which continued to be based on the alliance with the Triple Aliance and on the cooperation with Germany.
