Summary/Abstract: Ionesco does not necessarily have to be regarded as a playwright of “absurd” theatre. He mainly expresses a particular vision of the world, which is eccentrical as regards to both cultures he embodies, and which is a way of considering the complexity of reality in all its contradictory aspects, simultaneously. This transdisciplinary attitude is well supported by Ionesco’s ironic skill. The «included third» which defies aristotelic logic is more than a claim to plurality and difference, it is Ionesco’s most personal seach for real communication.
