Summary/Abstract: This work is aiming to lighting up the needlework’s past and now which continues its existence in Diyarbakir’s Cermik district. In neighbor, “needlework” had magnificent periods at past years that we can see from some needle models getting various collections Needle lace which is picked out diligently and is composed the precious items of girl’s dowers, is getting lost because of neighbor’s various social and cultural structure. It has been an obligation that Cermik needleworks which decorates the edges of scarf, expand the usage extents in textile sector, needleworks can be used especially in home decorations, clothing and accessories due to compose extraordinary and original samples. Thanks to this, it will be both enrichment the sector in terms of endemic culture and can be possible to pull ahead the extinction of “needle works”.
