Summary/Abstract: This article reviews the book written by Elena Korosteleva in 2012. Methodologically and empirically rich book provides an analytical framework of the EU’s relations with the eastern neighbouring countries particularly Belarus, Moldova and Ukraine. The book interestingly looks at the governancepartnership nexus as the main analytical method and in this sense provides an innovative methodological tool in the EU’s external policies. On the other hand, the book does not provide a full picture as it misses the multilateralism dimension which become an additional tool after EU’s Eastern partnership creation and does not involve all the participants of the Eastern partnership. Multilateral, network governance perspective, including three South Caucasus countries, could add regional dimension and enlarge the analysis by discussing the importance and effectiveness of the EU’s so called ‘effective multilateralism’ tool in the external relations, in it’s closest external environment – neighbourhood space.
