Summary/Abstract: The author asks the question about understanding the idea of ‘thinking in minority’. She attempts to show minority as cultural locum, that creates a specific mental space. She analyzes the patterns of such thinking in outlining flashpoints for the identity. She describes such cultural locum as a form of open ‘experienceness’. Showing cultural and literary image of Silesia, she tries to present local epistemology. She identifies the problems that Poland as a state encounters while understanding the specificity of ethnic and national minorities.
