Mostar Literary Heritage in Mostar Museum of Herzegovina

Summary/Abstract: Presentation from the conference "Scientific meeting '60 years of the Museum of Herzegovina in Mostar'", Mostar, 19 January 2010 year. The text points out the importance of Mostar literary and, in general, cultural heritage. It was listed the key historical periods in which the particular literary and cultural tradition have being developed, starting from the medieval to these days. It was mentioned the names of a number of authors of Mostar origin or those who were active in Mostar. It was particularly pointed out the problems of preservation and presentation of literary heritage, and the need for an immediate solution for accommodation of the Herzegovina museum. The author stresses that the attitude towards the culture is of crucial importance for the preservation of Bosnia and Herzegovina as a state.
