Summary/Abstract: Abstract. This review article discusses recent publications on the relationship between the European Union (“Europe”) and Turkey. It focuses on several guiding motifs in that regard, such as Cyprus, the Armenian issue, and the Gezi Park protests. It surveys the arguments presented in these publications, and shows how difficult it is to obtain a clear picture and to provide feasible solutions to existing problems.
