Summary/Abstract: Is the principle of methodological individualism applicable in the explanation of social outcomes in the production of which the effect of social norms is evident? The literature is dominated by mainly a negative response. The aim of this article is to provide a positive answer to this question, and thus to confute the negative claims. In the first part of the article, I reconstruct the logic of individualistic explanation because I consider the lack of its understanding as the main cause of its rejection. In the second part, by using just individualistic apparatus I seek to explain the paradox of voting, the persistence of racist norms and the occurrence of a marriage norm. In the concluison,I summarize the findings of the article.
