Summary/Abstract: In the article several syllable patterns occurring in the dialects on Kosovo are established. As far as the structure of coda is concerned all investigated villages had the one-peak syllable-coda pattern. Usually an [ë] is used to break a undesired final consonant cluster. This sound in most cases has no phonemic value, only in Kaçanik it is an independent phoneme. In one village [ë] did not appear at all. Opposite to coda, the onset patterns are diversified. The one-peak patterns as well as two-peak syllable patterns were found. Also the deviations of the one-peak syllable-onset pattern were of various nature.
