Summary/Abstract: Albert Camus (1913–1960) is one of the major representatives of existential philosophy. He is the author of novels, short stories, plays, essays, including The Stranger, The Myth of Sisyphus, The Rebel, The Plague, The Fall, Reflections on the Guillotine, etc., and winner of the Nobel Award for literature (1957). The year 2013 marks the centenary of his birth.
