Remarks on the lexis of parimeinic readings in the Menea of Vatasha

Summary/Abstract: The lexis of the parimeinic readings represented in the Menea of Vatasha is characterized by usage of a rich repertoire of lexical means, which show certain newer development processes and a new relation towards the norms of the written language. In the readings, apart from the radical innovations, typical for the new (Athos) redaction of the biblical texts, wide usages of lexical means inherited from previous periods are observed. An interesting symbiosis in the usage of variants, which belong to different levels of lexis, is present.
