Summary/Abstract: Five lections from the Book of Job are included in the Parimejnik. They are read from Monday to Friday of the Passion Week (Job 1:1-12; 1:13-22; 2:1-10; 38:1-22 & 42:1-5; 42:12-17). From the 13th century these lectiones have been included in the Triodion books. A juxtaposition of the lections in eight Triodia (from the 13th to the 17th century), in the Grigorovič Parimejnik and in the three full translations of the book of Job (the early one, supposedly by St. Methodius, and the two 15th-century translations of the catena of the Book of Job is provided in this article). By comparing these translations the Triodia can be devided into two groups: old-redaction (staroizvodni) Triodia and new-redaction (novoizvodni) Triodia. The text of the old-redaction Triodia is the same as the Parimejnik text. The text in the new-redaction Triodia has been revised according to the norms of the Mount Athos redaction. In some places, however, the new-redaction Triodia are not uniform: in some of the manuscripts the text corresponds to the text in the Parimejnik and the old-redaction Triodia, while in the others, the text has been revised. This may mean that there are two versions of the new-redaction text of the lections from the Book of Job. In some cases the text in the translations of the catena corresponds to the text in the new-redaction Triodia, but it is difficult to determine in which instances this is the result of influence of the new-redaction Triodia, and in which it is simply a coincidence between or among independent translations.
