The Normalization in Designing of Business Applications

Summary/Abstract: The present article is a summary of the normalization rules from the different forms of their applying into practice point of view. The first aim of this summary is to reveal the presence of various interpretations of well-known rules for normalization of the relational structures. The disclosure of the variety in application of normal forms aims to make an attempt for defining the borders of normalization, namely arguments to be put forward as of when the normalized structures drove by the necessity for achieving an easier data maintenance are turned into a serious obstacle in the process of creating information systems based on this data. The process of normalization has its reasonable limit, which will be defined in the article and along with this, after its crossing there are alternative rules that have emerged into practice aiming to overcome this disadvantage so that the relational structures to continue to be the most suitable place for safe keeping and maintaining of data.
