The Mesolitic site of Beliy Kolodets 1: a spatial analysis

Summary/Abstract: The article presents the results of spatial analysis of a Mesolithic site, which cultural layer is partially destroyed by much later habitations and has not preserved organic materials of the Mesolithic period. Using a spatial analysis, the author attempted to set timing of the Mesolithic materials, identify possible disturbances of the cultural layer, and determine the household-economic specifics of various areas of the cultural layer. The data obtained allow concluding that the Mesolithic materials of Beliy Kolodets 1 site correspond to one short habitation episode.
