Summary/Abstract: In poetry, prose, or philosophy, the fragment related study starts from the one and the same atomized vision of the world, the same breaking down of the topic, the same allotting of significance as a plurality that cannot be reduced to the unit. Being mainly related to poetry, the fragment, as “the poetry of the poetry”, is often in danger of being included in all its forms in an interregnum, a form of source and birth, which syncretically twins together poetry and philosophy. One of the main directions of fragmentation lies in looking for the ultimate essence, of perceiving the irreducible, beyond the appearance of the shapes. However, in all the registers under scrutiny, the fragment preserves its identity, and the common elements are redefined in every space encountered. The vocation of putting questions about how meaning is made is verbalised in a different manner in the philosophical practice of the fragment, where the aspiration to take out the logos from the system enclave is obvious and in the poetic practice, where the fragment leads to a radical conduit and orients it towards revitalising the functions of speech. The parsimonious styleme identified in the poetry/prose relationship, actual syndrome of imagistic ascesis, acts through the fragment poem, as an imperative to give significance again to language and to remodel the very act of having significance.
