Summary/Abstract: The author states the results of the researches which he undertook up to the present day on the social and especially on the national character of Horea's uprising to this end he reassesses the basic sources of the event which he correlates with his own conclusions, thus contributing to the substantiation of Karl Marx's assertion, namely that: "In 1784, a peasant shepherd from the country of Zarand, called Horea, planned the liberation of his people".
