Summary/Abstract: Aiming to illustrate the power of patriarchal norms over women and the psychological traumas such models can cause to young girls, the paper explores the ways in which Margaret Atwood uses the symbolism of the eye particularly in relation to the fragmentation or objectification of women’s bodies in her novel “Cat’s Eye”.
