Summary/Abstract: Don DeLillo's novel "Cosmopolis" (2003) is an example of a multifunctional setting in the narrative. The display of the urban landscape functions as a representative of the time and place of the story and provides the reader with the contemporary information about New York. The urban setting becomes another character, clearly exceeding the limits of the traditional interpretation of urban landscape.
