Modernization of Russian civil legislation: general characterisation

Summary/Abstract: Modernization of the Russian civil legislation does not have the intention to change it radically. A more precise definition of some legal norms, giving them concrete expression and their adaptation to modern realities are in prospect. The rules concerning juridical persons, the rights to things, transactions subject to their registration are going to be essentially changed. The norms, which are alien to private law such as confiscation, are going to be eliminated from the civil code. A considerable number of estimation categories is going to be introduced.
