Summary/Abstract: At the Third Conference on the Law of the Sea, Poland was among geographically disadvantaged countries, which could neither establish a broad economic zone up to the 200-mile limit nor lay claims to the continental shelf beyond this zone. Those countries sought package solutions that would keep maximum freedom of navigation and restrict unilateral claims.
