Summary/Abstract: The paper deals with women and leadership in libraries. Practice shows that feminization of library profession hasn’t annulled gender discrimination among library employees. Short review of research on this subject conducted in the United States of America and some European countries, for the period 1997-2004, is presented in this paper.
