Summary/Abstract: After an impressing career as a professor and dean at the Faculty of Theology in Cernauti, Nectarie Cotlarciuc was appointed bishop of Alba-Ismail, and then he was established as Metropolitan of Bukovina. In addition to his teaching activity he had a fruitful publicist activity, being the author of many works regarding Ecclesiastical Law, Philosophy, Homiletic, Liturgical Studies. As a bishop he was the delegate of our Church at some ecumenical congresses in Stockholm and Lausanne, at the Conference of the Anglican bishops in the Lambeth Palace, at the Congress of old Catholics in Vienna and Bonn.
