Performance Management as a Holistic Concept of Management

Summary/Abstract: The article presents the concept of performance management as a new, complex approach to organisation management based on the results of an evaluation. The origin and evolution of performance management are described, as are the differences between Business Intelligence and Business Performance Management, and the benefits of using the latter of these two. The newest concept for applying performance management as a part of the decision-making process, described as Business Performance Management, is shown.
