Selected sources of financing the economic activity of small and medium enterprises

Summary/Abstract: The problem of capital acquiring by enterprises from the SME sector seems to be one of the most important issues of economic development, as well as usual sore of the majority of Polish businesses. The success of contemporary enterprise depends on many factors, such as the type of activity, proficiency of management system, achieved profitability, as well as the source of external financing of its activity. Therefore the problems shown in this paper are essential for enterprise development. In the article the authors analyze different sources of funding, such as: leasing, financing through bank credits and loans, venture capital, factoring, forfeiting and franchising, and the advantages that they give to enterprises.
