Summary/Abstract: The main objective of the activity of the Museum of Rare Stones in Mosedis is to collect, analyze, restore, expose, popula-rize and protect the most interesting and valuable for science boulders in Lithuania, uncover them natural variety, nature and scientific significance, foreground their natural originality. The Museum is the main object of the town Mosedis, and projects the image of the district as the kingdom of the stones. The Mu-seum attracts a significant part of visitors in the region. In pe-rspective, this recreational object can be described as open for new opportunities and possibilities for tourists and local inhabi-tant. The exposition of the Museum consists of two parts: chamber part of the mineralogical petro graphical stone exposi-tion, which is founded in the old mill; and exposition in the open, which contains the biggest part Museum territory. Yearly the Museum has almost 10 000 visiters.
