Summary/Abstract: The paper discusses corporate social responsibility concept (CSR) as a modern trend among the world companies, as well as in those in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The analysis deals with the multidimensionality of corporate responsibility and the problem of defining corporate responsibility and stakeholders and their interaction, which results in different responsibility dimensions. Based on the research of available sources and papers, as well as on CSR praxis in global, regional and domestic companies, it is possible to conclude that in the process of developing corporate responsible behavior companies have to go through the corporate evolution. Customers and employees on one side, and the management on the other, especially help that development. Depending on how much they are ready to appreciate, i.e. sacrifice for responsibility, companies are going to be responsible, while not jeopardizing their own survival. This praxis can especially be observed in transitional countries, which is completely understandable having in mind the conditions and problems they are facing.
