The Ambronyms

Summary/Abstract: The article presents a semantic-motivational as well as structural analysis of 53 ambronyms: a) names of objects / designates made of bursztyn (amber), b) ambronyms motivated by the bursztyn appellative and by its equivalents (e.g. jantar). The linguistic analysis refers to the following types of ambronyms: thesauronyms, chrematonyms, anthroponyms, toponyms and ideonyms. The paper is a continuation of the series on the lexical "bursztynowa kolekcja" (the amber collection).
