Ten Years from the Adoption of the European Security Strategy - Time for Evaluation

Summary/Abstract: Ten years have passed since the adoption of the European Security Strategy in 2003. These ten years have provided enough space for observing the results as well as proposing new solutions for the current situation in the field of security in Europe and also in its neighbourhood. Even during this time of ten years there have been tendencies towards the adoption of the new European Security Strategy or at least it’s revision, such as in 2008. This paper provides the analysis of the first Security Strategy adopted in 2003, then its revision in 2008 and finally provides information about the challenging idea of adopting a new strategy as well as it describes also the negatives of such steps.
