Summary/Abstract: The aim of the paper is to describe design and validation of one scale of a newly developed research instrument SIPP (Suchdol Inventory of Work Attitudes), the satisfaction scale. In the introduction part of the paper several basic concepts (value, attitude, validity, reliability, and scale facet) are introduced and shortly explained. The paper further describes the essential data of the scale design and its confirmation. The overall number of the subjects was 1061. Roughly half of the subjects were female, the other half male. The subjects were mostly in their productive age. The subjects with elementary level of education prevailed to some extent. The final part of the paper discusses possible use of the scale in its current version, its reliability, and its possible further development.
