Summary/Abstract: The thesis that D. Andreev's cosmogony needs intelligent reading is discussed: the author addresses to I. Dedkov's experience as an example. It is proved that D. Andreev and I. Dedkov are pulled together not only by profes-sional qualities of writers, but also by valuable qualities of intellectuals. The modern criticism of D. Andreev’s pantheism and other discrepancies of his cosmogonic myth to the orthodox canon is considered. The author makes a conclusion that D. Andreev's cosmogony should be perceived not as the the-ory encroaching on bases of orthodox dogma but as the myths creation by the poet which is carried out first of all in a complete field of the Russian culture.
